De volgende stap in mijn miniatuurschilderavontuur was de zoektocht naar figuurtjes die ik leuk vond.Heel veel miniaturen zijn monsters, gedrochten, robotachtigen, rondborstige deernes en complete legers. Kortom, de miniatuurwereld is vooral op een mannelijk publiek gericht.
Ik ben op zoek gegaan naar miniaturen die ook een vrouwelijk publiek aanspreken zonder al te schattig te zijn.
Zo ben ik, na een tip van de echtgenoot, terecht gekomen bij Reaper Miniatures.
Zij verkopen, naast de "typische" figuurtjes ook een hele reeks minder alledaagse miniaturen.
Mouslings bijvoorbeeld. In alle mogelijke settings: avonturiers, piraten, ruimtereizigers, muzikanten,... Ook voor de feestdagen: kerstdag, pasen, halloween, valentijn.
Het formaat van een Mousling: ongeveer een vingertop hoog.
Hieronder zie je de verschillende stappen: eerst de basiskleuren. Op de tweede foto werden de schaduwen aangebracht. De derde foto toont de belichting en de laatste foto is het eindresultaat met de gedetailleerde afwerking.
